Yes will surely get a token number so you can heck the live status of your application it .You will accept a mail in which you can also mark down it. Just call NSDL pan centre 02025658300 and give your information such as date on which you applied for pan, your name and token number.
Since you have said that cash has been reduced two times and not yet any acknowledgement number you would get refund within 7 working days possibly. When you make an form fir PAN Card ,you are getting a 15 digit Acknowledgement number either through email .you can then use it to track you application status. We can get acknowledgment number on the top of the form, which we need to send strong copy to pan creation gency, keep one copy with you so that you can maintain acknowledgment and after you can check the status of PAN Card.
PAN card number is generated after you register for PAN and by that number. You can track your application status. If that lost by you then you can Track it on status Track search for PAN/by entering name ,DOB then you can find your PAN number. For the PAN card number firstly check your mail way.
